Outlook 2003 Attachment Help

S

Steve N

Just switched to 2003 and I can't open many attachments people I work with
have sent me (e.g., .exe, .cpl) and apparently .urls (I have not heard of
others type not working . . . yet) I am trying to send are not showing up
with them correctly. I know with earlier outlook versions I had a procedure
to edit the registry and there is also a note I have not to download one of
the office service packs.

What is the fix for 2003? It has to be from my end. I can't impose some
"mother may I" type requirement on those sending me stuff or to whom I send
stuff.

Many thanks,

Steve

Zipping files before sending is a great option because it saves space
on both sides in addition to being friendly to e-mail clients. I zip
the files I want to send, drag them into my mail to send, send my
mail, then delete the zip (a copy is in the Sent folder).
