Outlook 2003 automatic send/receive

I had an older version of Outlook and when I opened OL the send/receive would
happen automatically. I can not get 2003 to do this, I have to hit F9 or the
send/receive button. I have poked around under TOOLS and HELP but can not
find the answer.

Anyone? ---- Thanks

Not knowingly...earlier versions of OL had a button/tab to set it up to check
for and download e-mails upon OL starting up. The only thing that I could
find under TOOLS was a check box to send/receive upon exiting...

thanks Russ for the answer..hey wait --- you send back another Q, ha ha!

No version of Outlook has ever had an option to "check on startup."
You set an automatic send/receive interval in Tools > Send/Receive > Send
Receive settings...
