I've searched the forum, and wasn't able to locate my exact question. I
apologize if it's been asked before.
I've set up a server-based rule in Outlook 2003 to autoreply to messages
meeting certain conditions. I can't use the standard Out of Office reply, nor
a reply from a template, as I'm not always in the e-mail box in question. I
need the reply to be server generated so that replies are sent even when I'm
not in Outlook.
The problem with a server-based reply is that unlike the Out of Office or
specific template replies, it doesn't recognize if it's already sent a reply
to a particular user. So I'm getting literally 30,000 out-of-office replies
from the same person, and basically taking down her network with 30,000
auto-replies. Not good.
Has anyone found a way around this problem using a server-based reply? I'm
frustrated to no end, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
