outlook 2003 cached mode with many conflict items

we only have a few cached mode users. Two of them reported that they saw
many conflict items under the sync issues. I haven't checked others but did
see the problem on these two. How can I troubleshoot what is the cause?
Both have Blackberry. Other than that. I don't see anything else could make
conflict.
