Outlook 2003 cached name contains numbers

I have a weird issue, with Outlook 2003. When you type a users name
and it resolves the name in the cache it will look like this:
Joe Bloe <jblow55277366>
For some reason, only a couple of users has this series of numbers
after their cached outlook name. Funny thing is the display name does
not have this number in it The only place you see this is in the
outlok cached name.
I have looked at everything I can think of in the AD.
1. Checked the accounts for any custom attributes, cleared any and
rebuilt the address book in Exchange 2003, we are using cached mode so
it uses the offline address book.
2. Compared the offending accounts to other accounts to make sure
nothing is setup different.
3. Copied an account that contains these numbers to create a new
account, couldn't reproduce the problem.
4. I have deleted my nk2 file, name appears the same after the cahe is
cleared by deleting the file.
5. I looked through the users attributes in ADSIEdit on Active
Directory and don't see anythign different.
6. I have determined that this could be an issue because these users
were on another mail server that was not part of our organization, and
these mailboxes were created while a simlar custom recipient/contact
was in place in the AD. Those contacts have since been deleted but
these weird numbers come up in the outlook cache.

Anyone ever run into this problem?

Thanks for any help...JG
