I just setup this user last friday, and the are already having an issue with
Contacts. Using Outlook 2003 in a POP3 mode only. User spent 2 days getting
imported addresses setup correctly.
User opens new email & clicks To: button to insert user from contacts. They
then receive the following error.
The address list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder assocaited with
this address list could not be opended; it may have been moved or deleted,
or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove this folder
from the Outlook address book, see Microsoft office outlook help.
So we closed message. opened up the contacts folder, everybody is still in
there, I can make changes to them.
I exported all the contacts to a csv file. Then I also exported each contact
to a vcf. I also created a new folder and copied all of them to it.
Then I went under tools - email accounts - change address book and remove
the contacts folder.
Now I have a blank Contacts folder with and folder underneath it, with all
the address.
Can anybody tell me what caused this problem, any easier way to fix it.
Should I now be able to move the contacts back to main contacts folder. Or
is their something else I need to do.
