Outlook 2003 crashes deleting junk mail

I have Outlook 2003 set up to route junk mail to
the "Junk Mail" folder. Naturally, it gets 80 to 120
messages every day that get put in this folder. When I
try to delete them one-by-one, Outlook randomly crashes
and has to restart. I have "sent the problem to
Microsoft" for nearly a month now with no apparent
fixes. Any suggestions?
