How can I add my contact list to the global address list, in order to send
mail to a distro. list?

Only the Exchange administrator can add contacts to the Global Address List.

That has nothing to do with your ability to send to a personal distribution list.

Hi, we do this all the time at my work. Your contacts can be seen when you
select the new button in outlook if you have the Outlook address book added
to your email setup on the PC. This can be done from Tools/Email
Accounts/Add a new directory or address book/additional address books/ then
select Outlook address book. Once this is done you can select contacts when
creating a new email.

From new message select TO and from the drop down global address list box if
you select the drop down arrow you should see Outlook address book and then
your contacts. This is a simple way to get a contact. Sorry for posting
this if you already know this. The GAL is really only for corporate wide
contact lists or DL's not personal ones.
thanks
Kath
