Outlook 2003 does not automatically send/receive when I open it. .

I have to hit "Send/Receive" to get new email. I am using Win xp SP2. I saw
the previous post which discusses chainging the properties of the POP2, but
Tools - Email Accounts - etc. does not give me the option of Properties nor
can I locate anything that lets me control the send/receive. Help!

Check the send/receive group settings and verify that you have the option to
check for mail every XX minutes selected. (CTRL + ALT + S to bring up the
send/receive settings.)

All you need to do is configure an automatic Send/Receive interval.
Tools > Options > Mail Setup > Send/Receive
