Outlook 2003 email receive problem.

I have been having this ongoing problem with outlook 2003
that is frustrating beyond compare.

It seems to hang when receiving pop email and just sit
there forever 'processing'. Sometimes it works,
sometimes it prompts for the password (over and over).
But more often then not, it just sits there
forever 'processing' and doesn't download a thing. If I
let it sit there for hours on end it will eventually pull
the email down. I'm pulling email from three different
pop boxes (yahoo, and a private ISP) and this condition
exists on all three. I posted a previous message and was
pointed to:

But this didn't help the problem.
