Outlook 2003 email text disappeared

P

phill

A user yesterday was writing a new mail message with the format of Plain txt.
After writing a number of paragraphs they then inserted an attachment which
placed the file in the middle of the txt. The user did not want this so the
format of the email was changed to HTML. The attachment was then placed
above the email in the attach field.

All text was still viewable so the user sent the email. The recepient of
the email called the user saying no txt was attached to the email.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Phill

Hi. If the recipient is using Outlook, make sure that they have specified a
font in the 'reading plain text' option in the 'Fonts' section of 'Mail
Format'. I've just gone through a short period of not being able to see and
read plain text emails because I'd deleted the font by mistake when changing
my settings.

Thanks for the reply. the user did not send the email in plain text. they
changed it to HTML just before they sent it.
I forwarded the message to myself and i also dont see the text. I have
checked recepients outlook and they have the fonts installed.

thanks
