Outlook 2003 fails when I try to access Accounts in BCM

I have been using BCM for a few months now with no problem. I have approx 700
Contacts and 20 Accounts but now when I try and open an account or set up a
new account I receive the message "Microsoft Office Outlook has experienced a
problem and need to close". I have sent the error reports to Microsoft and I
have Check my database and there is no errors reported. Is there some
way/tool that I can use to check my configuration. I do share the database
with two other PCs in my home office and they have the same problem.
Accessing the BCM contacts is fine and accessing the emails associated with
the contacts is also fine. I was intending to remove the accounts and set
them up again but the add new Account causes Outlook to fail.

I'm sorry you're having trouble with BCM.

Here's what to do: Turn on error logging (Help, About) and then try again to
add an Account. Look at the log at %temp%\bcmv3_log and search for "[E]"
(without the quotes) to find any errors. This will either tell you what's
wrong, or you can post it here, or send it to me.

Another thing to do is export your database, create a new database (this
will not remove your existing one), then import the exported data.

Hope this works,
Chris

Except in your case the log is, I believe, called "bcmlog_v2", not v3.
Version confusion on my part.

OK, thanks for the info...I will look into it.

In the meantime, have you done the export, new database, import routine?
That might get you back up and running.

I have tried to install SP3 but it stated that I do not need it as I am not
using Small business accounting. I am going to try Chris' export database
idea.
Thanks for your help.
