.
Chose Arrange By from the View drop down menu and click
Custom. Then click Other Settings. Select the options that
you want.

If the message is HTML or Rich Text, the font is controlled by the sender.
If the message is plain text, I believe that information is in the registry
in the key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Preferences\PreviewFont,
but I can't tell you how to change it, since that key has a binary value.

Dear Jesslyn,

Thank you for posting here. Thanks all for sharing experience.

I truly understand the inconvenience you encountered; however, I am afraid
there isn¡¯t such option for user to change the Font of message in Reading
Pane, which is dependent on the sender side.

Regarding the steps (chose Arrange By from the View drop down menu and
click Custom. Then click Other Settings. Select the options that you want),
based on my test, I am afraid it is designed to change the Column Headings
and Rows instead of messages font in Reading Pane.

And for the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Preferences\Preview
Font, according to my verification on several Outlook workstations, it is
not a default key generated by Outlook, and not an Microsoft recommeded
solution to change the message size in Reading Pane.

I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in the point. Also, we
