Problem
Application: Outlook 2003 (Office 2003 Professional
Enterprise)
OS: Windows XP Pro Enterprise SP1a
Exchange: Exchange 2003 Enterprise SP1
Outlook freezing/hanging when I click the "TO", "CC",
and "BCC" button to access the
address book. I can receive emails, reply to emails,
send emails (manually typing
the address or via cached address) without any problems.
I can open the address book
without any problems. I get no error, but have to use
the task manager to close
Outlook. I can restart Outlook just fine, but still have
the same problem.
Troubleshooting Steps to date: (not in order)
1) Created new profile
2) Switched from cached mode, to non-cached.
3) Removed Contact list from profile
4) Ran PSTSCAN on PST file (had errors, re-ran - no
errors)
5) Uninstalled HP Insight Manager from system
6) Uninstalled Adobe Acrobat 6 Standard from system
7) Changed to Word as the program to compose email
8) Changed from Rich Text to Plain text
9) Changed from "Automatically detect connection state"
to Manual
10) Increased "Seconds Until Server Connection Timeout"
to 30 from default of 10.
11) Compacted OST file
12) Compacted PST file
13) Removed password from PST file
14) Applied Office 2003 SP1
15) Applied .NET Framework v1.1 update
16) Uninstalled VMWare Workstation from system
Any help would be great.
