This is a known issue with Outlook 2003. It is caused by corruption of the
MAPI Spooler. There is an undocumented tool called mapifix that you run from
the Command Window or the Run line.
If each time that you exit Outlook 2003, you get a message saying Outlook
has had an error and needs to close, this means the MAPI Spooler is corrupted
again and you would have to invoke mapifix again. The problem here is that
the profile is corrupted and you have to write a new profile.
