Outlook 2003 - Indicated Size of E-mails Being Downloaded

A

AC

Using Outlook 2003. Has anyone else noticed that in
Outlook 2003 the size of e-mails to be downloaded (shown
in the lower right) is in error? To give an example from
today; the size of e-mail was indiacted at 2.6MB (this was
also in error; the actual size was 2.1MB)and halfway
through it stated that 1.05KB had been downloaded when
clearly it should have stated 1.05MB.

Anyone know:

1. Why this occurs?
2. How to correct It?
3. Whether MIcrosoft are aware

1) because it's not an exact sciense and message size varies depending on
where it's stored.

2) You can't correct it.

3) No idea, but i doubt it. Follow the links in the Help menu to give them
feedback on it.

I can appreciate that a small disparity may occur but
0.5MB! In the example I gave it is apparent that this is
a labelling error rather than a miseasurement.

Shame but no surprise.

I may well do.
