Outlook 2003 indicates unread items at Win XP login

Underneath the Windows XP login icon is a meassage that
indicates that I have 10 unread messages. After loggin in
and going to Outlook 2003 - i do not see any unread
messages.... This is an ugrade from Office XP to 2003. Any
ides of how to correct this reporting error?
