Outlook 2003 is loading and crashing - how can I fix it?

Outlook loads and then dies with the 'send error to Microsoft' dialog box. I
have tried Detect and Repair. I have tried to reinstall. I removed and
reinstalled. I downloaded all the latest updates. I downloaded registry
repair products and tried those. Nothing has resolved the problem and I have
no idea what the problem is. How can I find out and what can I do? I need my
email! Thanks for any help you can give me.

Oh, I'm running on Windows XP with all the latest updates except IE 7.

Try uninstalling Cloudmark (use the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs) ...
that's what happened to me today too. Cloudmark just released a new update
that has caused problems for Outlook.

We need to know what that error message says. When you get an "Illegal
Operation" or "encountered a problem" message, there is usually a "Details"
button, or a "click here" link to see the error report. When you click on
the button/link, it will give a message like: XXXX caused an error in YYYY
and a bunch of register nonsense or it will list the Appname XXXX and
Modname YYYY. The XXXX and YYYY are important to identify the cause and
solution. You can ignore the rest of the message.

Thanks Pat and mkrieger! I actually found the answer on someone's blog. They
said to just rename the Cloudmark folder in Local Settings/Application Data
and that worked! However, I did not know about the fix in the new version -
thought I got updates automatically but I guess I don't.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
