Outlook 2003 mail disappering from inboxes AND from my mail server

I have found that every so often all message in my inbox, including those
that are flagged, will not only disapper from my inboxes, but also then from
my mail server (aol). This never used to happen, and appears to be a
function of outlook (as opposed to aol). Can anyone help?

Are you using a view that hides read messages? Are you using autoarchive?

Hi again. No - no views set to hide read messages that I am aware of.
Autoarchive is set for items older than 6 months (and I'm talking about items
that are a week or two old). Thanks
