outlook 2003 migration.

M

My name.

I need to migrate from my old computer running outlook 2003 to my new
computer also running outlook 2003.

My concern is that I have tons of emails, folders, junk mail rules, and
processing rules; all of which I need to move to my now box.

The old box was originally office xp pro, but I maxed out the mail box
capacity and upgraded to the new outlook2003. Needless to say, I still
needed to update my computer, So I opted to buy a new one.

Please help, even if its just pointing me in the direction of a url that
explains this step by step.

Thanks.

PS, please respond to this post w/ another post. The email account I use
for news group is rearely checked.

My guess would be to export the Outlook Personal Folders File (*.pst)
and then export the other items separately.

The pst file location is available by right-clicking the Personal
Folders icon (the head of the folders list [Outlook Today]) and choosing
Properties then Advanced. You will see the Path listed there.

You can simply copy this to your new PC, then look for the pst file on
that PC and replace it with the original one.

As for exporting other items, try File > Export. Im not so sure you can
export rules though?

Hope this helps.

Paul.
