Outlook 2003 msg text disappears when sent

Outlook 2003 message text vanishes when the message is sent, seems fine when composing the message, a forward, or reply, but all text disappears once it's sent, and in the sent messages folder also. I've tried reinstalling w/ no help. Microsoft guys are stumped. Any help is greatly appreciated.
