Outlook 2003 - Multiple PST files after move

Hi guys

I have a client with a dying WinXP Pro system w/seven AOL (don't laugh
I know, I know...) IMAP accounts in Outlook 2003, and I created a ne
WinXP Pro VirtualBox system for her on her Mac, installed her Offic
2003, created a profile in Outlook, deleted the default PST file i
created and pointed it to the file I had copied from the dying computer
closed up and opened Outlook - all is well

However, when I close Outlook and (using Ctrl Pnl, Mail) add the firs
email address, then add the PST file and open Outlook -- or just creat
the email addy and open Outlook, close it and change the data fil
pointer to the existing PST and re-open Outlook, a second PST file i
created

Every time, with all 7 accounts. And of course, in Outlook, there ar
double folders for each account

I have tried many times deleting the old Outlook XML, etc. files an
clearing out the Profile key in the registry to start over again

I've Googled and tried so many ways around this that I'm going i
circles, and all to no avail

Anyone have a clue-bat I can use on myself

Never EVER delete and replace pst-files which are still connected to Outlook
unless you want to be left with a corrupted mail profile.
Recreate your mail profile via Control Panel-> Mail
After that, configure the IMAP accounts in Outlook. Since they are IMAP
accounts, all data resides on the server and Outlook will sync with it once
configured. If you have any additional pst-files that you wish to reconnect
use;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...
