Outlook 2003 on XP SP2

We have been having an issue on fresh installs of Outlook 2003 on XP SP2
where the user opens Outlook normally and begins to read email and after
reading a number of emails (5-10) Outlook appears to hang and is running at
99% CPU in task manager.

Ending the task does not resolve the issue; a reboot is required and the
issue re-occurs
