Outlook 2003 .ost file

Troy

Being told to delete the .ost file because it is old.
However, a search on *.ost reveals nothing. How can I get
throught this? This is while reading off an Exchange
server.

Thx

Searching with XP does not always produce accurate results - depending on
index setting and such.

This is the Offline File Folders file. It should not cause a problem
deleting the file, as it's a copy of (selected) existing folders, used if
your network connection is lost.

BUT, you may wish to make a copy... The location can be found by doing the
following:

From the menu item Tools - Email Accounts - View or change existing email
accounts

From the Email Accounts window - Change button - More Settings button

From the Microsoft Exchange Server window - Advanced tab - Offline Folder
File Settings button
