Outlook 2003 & PocketPC 2002

Hello, I am using a Dell Axim running PocketPC 2002 to
synchronize data with my laptop using ActiveSync 3.7.1
(latest & greatest version of ActiveSync). However, each
time I connect the Axim to my laptop and the
synchronization occurs, it leaves Outlook 2003 running on
my laptop. Even after taking the Axim out of the cradle
and shutting down ActiveSync. I have applied all
relevant updates to MS Office 2003 on my laptop.

Any ideas on how to correct this would be appreciated!
