Outlook 2003, pop3, object not found

I installed Office '03 including outlook. When I configure my pop email account and hit the Send/Receive, I get a pop up dialog box with the ever helpful message "The operation failed. An object not found"

Running the setup 'Test Account Settings' works fine so it is not the configuration of the account

ASnyone have a suggestion?

Have you tried creating a fresh profile?
