outlook 2003 preview pane problem

We have a problem with one installation of Outlook 2003. The preview
pane is at the bottom of the screen and sometimes, for some emails, the
preview pane is not working as it should. It looks like the pane preview
window has been scrolled up so you can't read the top of the message,
but you can't necessarily scroll down to see the rest. The only way to
see the whole email is to open it, which is not that convenient if there
are a lot of emails. This happens on plain text and html emails and on
emails that are part of a 'conversation' and those that aren't. We still
have more MS patches to apply but I'm not holding out much hope as we
have other unpatched Outlooks that haven't suffered this problem.

Has anyone seen this before? How can I stop it? NB this copy has been
upgraded from Outlook 2000 (I think) which coincided with a fresh
install of Exchange 2003, on a new mail server.

Many thanks if anyone can help,
Iain

Try a new profile (don't delete the old one yet) and see if it fixes it...
you could also try the /cleanviews switch, but it'll delete all custom
views.

Can you 'scroll' using the arrow keys to move down message lines?
