Outlook 2003 process hangs

Help! I've got Outlook 2003 running on a Windows 2000
machine. When I exit Outlook, the interface goes away,
but the OUTLOOK.EXE process stays in the running process
list. This causes problems when trying to launch Outlook
again later. I am having to kill the process manually to
get it to go away. Any suggestions? I've already tried
updating to service pack 1.
