Outlook 2003 - public folder access denied

I am running Exchange Server 2000 with the latest service
packs and hot fixes. I have three users who are running
Outlook 2003. They are able to browse the public folder
tree, however, if they try to open an item within any of
these folders they receive an access denied error message.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
