We recently moved from Outlook 2000/Exchange 5.5 to Outlook 2003/Exchange
2003. We have a couple of public folders that have no items in them (but
their subfolders do) but the Outlook client is reporting "unread" items in
the folder in the users "Favorites" area (as a blue 14 to the right of the
folder name). In particular one folder shows 14 unread items even though
there is nothing in the folder. If the user marks "all as read" then the
blue 14 goes away. Then, the next day it comes back again.
I have used the System Manager to confirm there is nothing in the folder.
Any ideas?
