Outlook 2003 reading pane

I had to reload my computer from the recovery partition. In setting up
Outlook 2003 on the XP machine, I want to make the default reading pane
option be OFF. I hope there is a way to do this.

TIA!

1)Start Outlook 1time with the /cleanviews command line switch.
2)Modify the default "Messages" view to have the reading pane off.

Thanks, neo.

Now, I have to ask where do I do this? It has been a long time since I had
to use these types or commands.

I went to the command prompt and entered Outlook /cleanviews but was told
that this no recognized. I am confused. Thanks for the help.
