Outlook 2003 - Rules for "Out of Office" Filtering

R

RRandy

I would like to create two rules that act as my "Out of Office" response to
send a email message to the sender.

I would like to have the rules run against a defined set of domain names or
individual addresses and respond with a seperate messages, unless the email
is another "Out of Office" response.

I can't seem to build/find this functionality.

Can anyone offer some guidance?

Appreciate and assistance is advance.

You could probably do this with the Rules Wizard having it check the
message headers for specific words to discern the particular domains and
respond with a predefined template.

I'm not sure how reliable that would be and you would undoubtedly get
duplicates if they sent you multiple messages. I'd be slightly
concerned about message looping in case you inadvertently hit an
autoresponder.
