I'm trying to sort out my outlook rules but I'm having some problems.
Mainly because I have multiple accounts and with one account over a
dozen rules to filter to sub-folders.
I would like to just have each account send its email to a separate
data file (PST) but I haven't seen a way to do this without created
separate Outlook Profiles in Control Panel.
Instead of that I've created a number of rules to filter messages from
my inbox to their appropriate folder.
The problem I have is that all my normal rules are fine, but the one
rule I have for sorting all remaining messages that aren't meant for a
specific folder to their own folder I have to create an exception in
this rule for all other rules in the list.
Even though this rule is at the bottom of the list I'm still getting
duplicate messages.
It seems that the initial rules run correctly, but when the last rule
runs it copies all messages to the general folder making duplicates.
Regular rule example:
Through *this* account, with *this* in the subject, move it to *this*
folder.
Problematic rule:
Through *this* account, move to *this* folder.
Like I said, I can get this to work but I have to create an exception
for every other rule in the list.
Any ideas? Is this the only way to do things?
