Outlook 2003 Send/Receive hangs

When sending and receiving over a broadband connection, it connects to the
server fine but then doesn't complete the send and receive and it hangs up
the whole program. Anyone know if there is way to set the amount of
bandwidth Outlook tries to use when connecting to Exchange server?

What version of Exchange server? Are you using a VPN or RPC over HTTP
or ? to connect?

Exchange 2003 with a Cisco VPN over TCP/IP. However, when working offline
with local LAN access the Send/Receive takes forever.

Should work fine -- I use OL2003 against an Exchange 2003 Server over
VPN all the time. Have you tested your throughput to make sure it's
acceptable? Can you ping the Exchange 2003 server by name across the
VPN?
