Outlook 2003/Sent items deleted

I am not sure what I did or some thing happened to my SEnt folder Setting.
All my entries in the Sent folder got completely deleted day before
yesterday. Probably 1000 + items got deleted. Yesterday probably 10 sent
items go deleted. The slate was clean. I have few items today. Tomorrow I
will know whethetr the cleaning happenes everyday.
Where should I look for the clue.
I checked the Options under Tools. There is nothing to tell me that the Sent
Folder to be cleaned.
Obviously, something has changed. Can any body help me to locate the problem?

Add to below:
Sent Folder Property as follows:
AutoArchiveTab: Archive Items in thi folder using Default setting is checked.
Default setting is Archive to Run every 14 days and Promp before
AutoAtchive. Nothing else checked.

The Sent folder is empltying every two days. I have to protect this Please
give me a hand on this.

I believe the problem is with the Microsoft Defender which I recently
installed and all these problems started. I tried to remove the software and
will not be removed without the Outlook being closed. My internet Historioes
are also being cleaned up. I removed the Defender and probably the problem
will go away.
Future users of Defenders shall be careful about the default settings.

Windows Defender doesn't do that on any of my PCs.
