Outlook 2003 signaturs dissapear

We have 2 pc's that at different times have had thier signatures dissapear.
The signature is still in the signature folder but the users have to go in
and select it in order to show up again.

We have regularly scheduled windows updates and it appears that it happens
at that time.
Has anyone heard of windows updates removing the selected signature for
Outlook users?
