I have just rebuilt (read virtually replaced all hardware) my pc an
decided to use Office 2003.
Every thing was fine and running at decent speeds unitl I set u
Outlook.
I was previously using Outlook Express (but not on this pc) and hav
imported from that into Outlook.
Now, everything has slowed down to an annoying snails pace.
The main culprit appears to be Outlook, which takes ages to open, age
to scoll through messages in any of my folders and sometimes report
Not Responding, but if left alone will respond eventually.
I must admit, my .pst file is very large, but it is sorted into variou
folders, although the inbox can be quite big at time too. When I wa
previously using Express it had no problem at all with the size of th
email files.
The rest of the pc and applications also now run more slowly, giving m
time to go and put the kettle on more often ........ which is nice, bu
not very productive.
Any suggestions where I should start looking
