The screen response time in Outlook is very slow including typing

I have just set up OUtlook from my old XP to the new Vista computer.
Admittedly I have a lot of space taken from 3 .pst files and need to
streamline, but Outlook is responding VERY slowly. Even to type words, the
letters follow about 5 seconds following. Is this due to too much space taken
up? Does vista work that much slower? Clicking buttons also requires 5
seconds or so. Deleting emails or openning them is also slow. My processor is
2GB. Thank you

I've got vista with outlook 2003 and it runs just fine, so its not Vista. I'm
not sure what else it could be off hand. You might try copying the old
..pst(s) somewhere else, and then deleting you current profile and recreating
it. Then import the data into the new blank .pst. I've heard sometimes that
the .pst structure becomes damaged and this will make sure its not the file
itself.
