Hi,
I have Outlook 2003 installed on a fairly new win2000 sp4
machine. It opens fine, but when I click any message or
folder it is very slow to respond. The CPU and Memory
utilisation aren't very high, so its like Outlook is
checking something or waiting for something in the
background before it responds. The menus and property
pages load up absolutely fine, sending & receiving mail is
fine and all other applications remain responsive.
I've disabled the Person Names smart tag, I have tried
the 'detect and repair' option and also ran the office
update utility from the office site. No joy.
Maybe its the Outlook security or HTML email handling
thats slowing things down?
