Outlook 2003: Sort by conversation

Jacob Lane

Anyone ever use this feature?

I use it to sort messages get from listserv's and such. Problem is, it
worked great under 2000, but sucks under 2003 (Outlook).

- I can still sort, but I get a partial 'message preview' for each
conversation. In other words, I can view fewer conversations per screen and
have to scroll more.

- There is supposed to be a way to view all messages in a hierarchical
format (like this newsgroup if you are using Outlook Express or some other
GUI tool.) Can't find that anywhere either.

Any experts out there on altering message organization?

You need to use the Arrange By Conversation view -- remove the Group By
Conversation if you were using that before, and use Arrange By instead. I
don't think there's any way to get around it showing one message per topic,
though.
