Outlook 2003 sp1 cannot access the real public folders on exchange 5.5

Scenario:

Server: MS Exchange 5.5 on NT4 server
Workstation: MS XP Pro sp 1 with outlook 2003 SP1

Problem:

After adding the exchange user in outlook, everything works except the
public folders do not show up. There are 2 public folders which are not the
correct ones that appear.

Outlook 2000 has the same problem.

There are other outlook 2000 users who see all the all the correct public
folders. This I was told was done after some change in config to outlook to
get it working?

Has anyone seen this problem before? Can anyone help.
