Outlook 2003 SP2 Errors on a MS WinXp SP2 Workstation

Whenever I try to reply to an email, MS Word crashes and I lose all my
work.

I did Detect and Fix, but I still have that problem. Any ideas why it
might be happening?

Does Word crash on its own? Perhaps rename "normal.dot" file to
"normal.old" and start Word to create a new one.

Renamed normal.doc to normal.old still crashed. Word seems to crash mainly
when replying to an email. Sometime it crashes when just using word outside
on outlook just not nealy as much.

Suggest not using Word as an Outlook editor until you get Word
straightened out. Since you have a new normal.dot have you tried Help,
Detect and Repair in Word?
