Outlook 2003 Stopped Working

I'm running Vista Home Premium with Office 2003. Everything has been
working
OK for months - just some occasional errors that restarting takes care
of.

But now I can't start Outlook. When I try to start it, I get the
message
Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working, and then the usual stuff
about
closing or trying to find a solution and closing.

I've done a system restore to before the problem, but it made no
difference.

I'm stuck on what to try next.

I don't want to take too long trying to fix it if it is better to just
reinstall. I've already tried Detect and Repair, but perhaps it is
best just to uninstall and reinstall? The trouble is that I've got
other dependencies - including the Anti Virus and ACT.

Thanks

A reinstall is unlikely to fix this problem. Also, you should not have your
AV program configured to scan mail. It's unnecessary and can interfere with
Outlook's proper operation. You might want to look at the suggestions here:
