Outlook 2003 stuck on Windows 2003

I've recently transferred to Outlook 2003 from Outlook Express at work,
after SP1 was installed.

Since a couple of days after I installed it, I am experiencing a very odd
situation.
When I first run Outlook after a restart, it works well. But some time
later, it gets irresponsive, and when I close it (with ALT+CTRL+DEL) and
re-open it, it gets stuck again when it tries to check for new mail.

I'm running Windows 2003. I recently downgraded from SP-1 Beta 1214 to the
release version, I can't remember if the problems started before or after
taking that action.

Please help me :)

Thanks.

I might have some progress:
I think the first time it's getting stuck, is when I go over an e-mail with
an attachment (I have that preview pane on).

Note that I uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook, and used detect & repair,
it didn't change anything.

Thanks.

I am having a similar problem with a PC on my network. The
user is unable to open the 'folders' option as this crashes
outlook 2003. The user must then completely restart the pc
before it will work properly again. The folder option that
the user is choosing contains public folders, yet he has
never been unable to open it properly. I have tried
everything like closing the preview pane, re-installing
etc, it just won't work!
