Outlook 2003 - system quirk??

On replying to an email, the system automatically corrects spelling in the
original email, despite having the "ignore original text" setting selected.
Also cannot change from English (US) to English (Australia) setting.
Very annoying - can you help?

Did you set the option to prefix your response? This negates the "ignore
spelling in original message." For the English, did you change the
dictionary under Tools->Options-Spelling? What language version is Office?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
