Outlook 2003 - The set of folders could not be opened

OL 2003 is running local pst files and an Exchange mailbox. The Exchange
folder has now lost its name and displays "the set of folders could not be
opened." I cannot access this folder. A new Exchange mailbox has been
created and is now working, but I cannot find out how to remove the possible
corrupt folder.

Any ideas? I would appreciate any assistance.

I'm having a similar problem. Did a total uninstall of MS Office 2003 after
putting my MSN account information into Outlook. However, the MSN folder
gives me the same error message about not being able to open the folder". I
thought if I uninstalled that MSN folder would go away, but no such luck.
Removed everything under Outlook [pst files and all] but it shows up when I
install the software.

I note that if you were running an earlier version of office, it doesn't
remove a lot of the things you "customized" your program with, which is
strange to me, because usually all of that stuff would be gone.

I LOVE Outlook, but I need to remove that file and guidance would be helpful.

Create a new mail profile.
