outlook 2003 - unread messages

hi

i have access to 3 other mailboxes however, when i read
the mail in those mailboxes i would like them to remain
unread (bold) rather than read (not bold).

how do i turn this option on to do this for me?

I have tried the following

tools\options\other\reading pane

uncheck the first two options and one of them is mark
item unread when selection changes. Cannot remember the
first option.

This works for my mailbox only.

What am i doing wrong.
