Outlook 2003 Video Email add-in - Failed to create video e-mail

System: Windows XP Pro, Outlook 2003, Logitech QuickCam Communicate ver 8.48
At one time, the Outlook 2003 video email add-in worked properly on my
computer. Then, for some unapparent reason, it started generating an error
message.

The webcam works with Skype, Messenger and Outlook 2003. I can start to
create a video email. Record a short video. However, when I click the
create email button, I get the the error message "Failed to create a video
e-mail." It seems to fail after the video is recorded.

I have unnstalled the add-in and reinstalled several times. Any suggested
tweaks would be helpful.

I still have not found a fit for creating video email on this computer.
I did find Internet Explorer 7 is set to block playing Outlook video email
attachments sent by Outlook 2003 via the Microsoft Video EMAIL add-in.
To view the attached video file, you have to enable "Display video and
animation on a webpage . . . ." Then, IE7 will display the Outlook video
attachment on your own computer.
Silly. You would think Microsoft would at least post the workaround.

It is amazing how a system reinstall every few years will fix problems. My
hard disk crashed. After the subsequent replacement and software reinstall,
video email works fine. Though IE7 still won't display the video for the
recipicient unless you change the default settings.
