Outlook 2003 will not Empty Deleted Items folder and will not Send messages correctly...

Hello,

I just upgraded to Outlook 2003 and I noticed that when I exit Outlook
the Deleted Items folder is not being emptied. I went to Option Other
and made sure it was checked and it is. I even unchecked it, clicked
Apply, and then checked it again and clicked Apply. Still doesn't
work.

Another problem is that when I type a message and click SEND the
message no longer is sent. I have to click Send/Receive for this to
happen.

What gives?

Did you upgrade and keep your old profile or did you make a new one?

Hello,

I kept everything the same as far as I know. I don't specifically
recall it asking me anything about a profile though. I actually
upgraded from 2003 beta to the full version. I seemed to recall the
beta version worked ok.

Go to control panel mail and make a new profile - see if that works like it
should.
