Outlook 2003 will not receive all e-mails

I am using Outlook 2003, and I am not able to receive all the e-mails sent to
me. I can receive messages I sent myself as a test, but not from my friend.
When I start my computer a message appears saying '1 unread e-mail message',
but when I check in outlook there's nothing there. I also looked in webmail -
nothing there either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have no idea what 2 do. Thank you.

If you aren't getting the mail in your web based mail reader, it isn't an
Outlook issue, but something more related to either your friend
mis-addressing the message, or your ISP somehow dropping the email. If you
compose a message from your web based mail client to your friend and they
reply to it, do you get the reply? If you do, start outlook and see if it
downloads the message. If you don't, call the ISP and tell them exactly
what you just did and ask them what might be wrong.

Thanks for the reply. It sounds like my friend has the address correct and
everythings working from his end, so i'll wait to see if I receive his reply
from the webmail message I send. Thanks 4 the help :)

The unread message count no longer appears, thanks.
The junk mail folder is empty.
The e-mails I did not recieve were replies from a message I sent using
outlook. I'll ask my friend to send a direct message and see if it makes a
difference. Thanks for the help. :)
